FAQ's

How do I find Crozet United Methodist Church?

We are located in downtown Crozet at the corner of Crozet Avenue and Jarmans Gap Road. Click here to check out the map.

Where do I go when I get there?

After you park, simply enter through the doors off Crozet Avenue (at the front of the building). We’ll have greeters at the door who will welcome you.

What do you do for kids?

As a part of our Contemporary and Traditional Worship, kids have their own fun, engaging, and interactive service. Additionally, a staffed nursery for infants through 3 years of age is available during both Contemporary and Traditional Worship.

How long is worship and what is it like?
  • 9 AM: Contemporary worship in a casual atmosphere featuring our CrossWalk praise band, scripture, a children’s message, and message by our pastor. Worship lasts approximately 60 minutes.
  • 11 AM: Traditional worship with music led by our Chancel Choir, a formal liturgy, a children’s message, and sermon by our pastor. Worship lasts approximately 60 minutes.

During the service, feel free to participate however you’d like. If you want to sit down and listen, feel free to do so. If you want to stand or raise your hands to sing, you can do that too.

What do I wear?

Want to wear shorts and a t-shirt? Awesome! Looking to dress up a bit for church? Sounds good to us. At Crozet UMC, you can dress however you feel comfortable.

Can I attend if I’m _________?

A human being? A person? God declares that worship is for everyone, and we live that out here at Crozet UMC. Every single person is welcome here, and our diversity reflects the multiplicity of all creation. Every nationality, race, ethnicity, orientation, age, gender, culture, religious affiliation or lack thereof, and every walk of life are part of who we are and strive to be. If you’ve been told you can’t do that or go there because you’re divorced, or not heterosexual, or different, then we want to show you what radical hospitality and love can feel like at Crozet. Here our family of faith is chosen by God, and God always chooses everyone. Come and see!

I’m new here. Will you call me out or ask me to stand?

No. No matter if you attend our 9 am Contemporary Worship or our 11 am Traditional Worship, our goal is to make your morning a positive experience, not to put you on the spot.

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

As United Methodists, we share the same basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities. We also believe we have an obligation to bear faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, putting our faith and love into action. Click below to see what we are about.
